The world of education has changed dramatically ever since Ashbal Al Quds Private School opened its doors to the U.A.E. community. However, our objective remains the same: to produce a generation of lifelong learners who are tolerant and compassionate; individuals who respect the culture, values and heritage of the U.A.E. Ashbal Al Quds is keen on developing individuals who are proud of their identity and heritage, able to assess their present, to create a better future. In this respect we focus on incorporating National Identity, Problem Solving, Critical Thinking, Business Leadership and Innovation in the school curriculum.
With the best interest of our students in mind, Ashbal Al Quds strives to stay abreast with the latest global trends in education to ensure that all students are equipped with the necessary skills to be successful in anything they undertake. To quote the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan (may God have mercy upon him), the founding father of the United Arab Emirates, “The real asset of any advanced nation is its people, especially the educated ones, and the prosperity and success of the people are measured by the standard of their education.
Academics
Ashbal Al-Quds Private Secondary School follows the MOEcurriculum and the school has four cycles:
1. Kindergarten stage (KG1, KG2).
2. Primary stage (from first to forth grade).
3. Preparatory stage (from fifth to eighth grade).
4. Secondary stage (from ninth to twelfth grade).
Kindergarten stage
Children start the first year of kindergarten in September after completing 4 years of age. Kindergarten is a two-year program. The kindergarten curriculum adopts the Common Core State Standards and the Core Knowledge Sequencing Model, and the goal behind implementing Core Knowledge is to provide simple yet robust levels of learning.
Primary stage
During primary school, we embrace the innately inquisitive nature of students in order to develop their foundational skills through first-hand experiences. Students are encouraged to ask questions and develop the beginnings of social etiquette.
Students enter primary school at the end of kindergarten. The duration of primary school is four years, from first to fourth grade.
Preparatory stage
Preparatory stage curriculum seeks to produce confident and competent learners by developing learning communities, stimulating student/faculty discussions, and encouraging electronic exchanges.
Preparatory school is a rich, in-depth four-year program that runs from fifth to eighth grade and is the foundation for success in high school.
The secondary stage
This is a promising educational stage for every student. We provide the necessary support to help our students focus on their goals, enhance their knowledge, skills, and abilities, and grow into responsible citizens ready to take their place in the professional community.
Secondary school is a four-year program from ninth to twelfth grade, during which students are taught by specialized teachers.
